After studying politics at Bristol University Robert decided to enter the world of recreation management out of his love for all things natural. After 4 years with Barnet Council’s parks Department he took a post in charge of the Conservation Unit on Hampstead Heath. During his time there he undertook the first wildflower study of the Heath in over 300 years. With the demise of the GLC Robert set up his own landscaping and design company which he ran successfully for over 20 years. As part of his mid-life crisis he then took a law degree at University of Westminster followed by the Solicitor’s course (LPC). At a time when many solicitors are considering retiring and becoming gardeners Robert travelled in the opposite direction. A training contract followed with Maxwell Alves and Robert now has conduct of litigation, landlord and tenant, conveyancing, employment and wills and probate matters.
